Once upon a time, I ran across a large, black square with over-sized print spelling the words LIVE LAUGH LOVE. Generic enough, I’d seen something similar in other stores and on almost every HGTV episode imaginable. Despite the overused mantra, I loved the bold white letters against the black like a chalkboard as well as the symmetry. It would go nicely in my office, matching my vintage Royal typewriter and Ford transmission blueprint poster. But I wanted something that would inspire my writing…not that I hated to LIVE LAUGH or LOVE, I just wanted my workspace to reflect my passion as a writer. Almost immediately, my mind swapped the words with WRITE EDIT REPEAT and I wanted it bad! Luckily enough, I know how to use Photoshop and this one was easy.
Now every time I come into my office, I pass by my bookshelf. And at eye level sits my reminder. “Look how pretty I am…oh…and don’t forget to write!”
Here’s the 8×10 print for whoever wants the reminder that writing is the process of WRITE EDIT and REPEAT.
